A charming glass bowl originally from a set at Buckingham Palace. Engraved to the front with GVIR be with an etched crown. This was the cypher of the Queens father King George VI and dates the bowl to between 1936 and 1952.Measures approximately 11cm in diameter x 9cm in height. This bowl would be used at royal drinks receptions for peanuts or Bombay mix. This design is still in use in the Royal Household where they use this particular style of antique bowl and also additional pieces which now have the EIIR crest replacing GVR and GVIR. A lovely and rare item which I have never seen come up for sale before. It is an eminently useable piece and displays well. The item "Royal Provenance Buckingham Palace George VI Crown Glass Bowl Antique GVIR" is in sale since Thursday, March 25, 2021.
