1896 LIX Great Britain Queen Victoria Crown KM# 783 Cleaned 39LR. Up for sale is a large British silver coin with a value of 1 crown or 1/4 of a pound. It was issued in 1896 with the regnal year of 59, marking the 59th year of the reign of Queen Victoria. The obverse of the coin carries a portrait of Queen Victoria as designed by Thomas Brock.
The legend surrounding the portrait reads, "VICTORIA. The reverse displays a view of St. George, slaying a dragon, as created by Benedetto Pistrucci and the date, 1896.
